Udinese and Lecce have locked horns 32 times in Serie A, with Udinese recording 18 wins, 11 defeats and three draws. Two of those three draws have come in the last four meetings – both at Bluenergy Stadium (1-1 in November 2022 and October 2023). Besides those two draws, Udinese have won 11 and lost three times at home, where they are on a nine-match scoring streak against Lecce going back to the 2008/09 season.

The last time these two sides met was in Lecce on 13 May 2024, when goals by Lazar Samardzic and Lorenzo Lucca secured a 2-0 away win.

Lucca has already scored three times this season and twice in front of the Friuli.

Udinese have made a strong start to the campaign despite suffering recent back-to-back defeats, having picked up 10 points from three wins and a draw so far. They have only won more than three times after six games on half a dozen occasions in Serie A.

Udinese have scored the most headed goals so far this term (four, level with Atalanta and Milan) as well as the most from crosses (five, the same as Milan). Lecce, on the other hand, have managed zero in both categories and have conceded the most headed goals (four; none for Udinese).

Lecce (fourth) and Udinese (second) have among best records for successful crosses in Serie A (29% and 33% respectively). However, the two sides have very different results for goals scored in the last half an hour (four for Udinese, none for Lecce) and in their shot conversion rates: 16% per Udinese (second behind Hellas Verona) and 3% for Lecce (the worst in the league).

Udinese have thus scored nine goals with an xG of 7 while Lecce have managed just three goals from an xG of 7.2

All of the nine goals scored by Kosta Runjaic's side have come from inside the box, as have the ten they have conceded (including two from penalties).
