Following Udinese’s game against Frosinone there will be a break from club football. Seven of our players have been called up by their countries for the fixtures during this period.
Festy Ebosele, Jaka Bijol, Sandi Lovric and Lazar Samardzic have been summoned by their respective nations for Euro 2024 qualifiers on 7 and 10 September.
Ebosele could make his international bow for Ireland as they take on France and the Netherlands. Bijol and Lovric, called up by Slovenia, may see action against Northern Ireland and San Marino. Meanwhile, Samardzic’s Serbia take on Hungary and Lithuania.
As for youth team level, Vivaldo Semedo has been called up by Portugal U19s for games on 6 and 12 September against Kazakhstan and Mexico respectively, while Thomas Kristensen and Antonio Tikvic will be on international duty for Denmark U21s and Croatia U21s respectively. The former could play against France and Slovakia on 7 and 11 September while the latter may be pitted against the Faroe Islands on 12 September.
