Five Udinese players were in action for their national teams yesterday.
Jaka Bijol and Sandi Lovric both played for Slovenia as they overcame Finland 2-0, climbing up to fourth in group H of the Euro 2024 qualifiers. Ilija Nestrovski’s North Macedonia lost 3-2 to Ukraine in another qualifier.
Meanwhile Lazar Samardzic and James Abankwah both featured in friendly matches. The Serb started for his country against Jordan, winning 3-2, while Abankwah’s Ireland U21 side drew 2-2 with Ukraine.
